Bought these for my grandkids because they wouldn’t stop flying mine. They’re 6 and 8 and honestly fly it better than I do. I’m 78, so I just sit and watch now 😂

This thing’s tiny but has heart. Lost a few counterweights on day one, ended up rebuilding the blades myself for fun. Still works! Honestly feels like a DIY challenge now, best $$ I’ve spent.

Didn’t expect much for the price but it’s actually cool. My kids picked it up way faster than I did . Great for rainy days.

Pretty cool for a mini chopper. Light, easy to fly, breaks if you crash too hard but that’s part of learning.

Brandon testimonial

Takes a few tries to master, but once you do it’s actually kinda addicting. Short battery life though.

FAQs

Is this actually easy enough for a 6 year old to fly?

Yeah, the 2-channel control (just up/down and hover) is simpler than full drones. Most kids 6-8 pick it up within a few tries. Adults might find it tricky at first too—it takes practice for everyone. Expect crashes while learning, but that's part of the fun and the lightweight design handles it.

How long does it actually fly before needing a recharge?

About 6-10 minutes of continuous flight per charge. Sounds short but it's typical for mini helicopters this size. The quick 10-30 minute USB charge time means minimal waiting between flights. Most kids do a few short flights, recharge during a snack break, then fly again.

Can you fly this outside or is it indoor only?

Indoor is best. It's lightweight so even slight wind throws it off course outside. Plus the 12-meter range is short, making it easy to lose outdoors. Living rooms, bedrooms, garages, or hallways work great. Some people fly it in calm outdoor spaces but risk losing it quickly.

What happens when it crashes? Does it break easily?

The lightweight plastic construction actually helps—crashes aren't as destructive as heavier models. Parts can fall off (counterweights, blades) but many are reattachable. Some wear and tear is expected with learning. One reviewer even mentioned rebuilding it with custom parts after pieces fell off, so it's somewhat repairable.

Does the remote need batteries or is it rechargeable too?

Remote needs 2 AA batteries which aren't included. Only the helicopter itself has a rechargeable battery that charges via USB. Keep spare AAs on hand since the remote can drain them fairly quickly with extended use.

Is the hover function automatic or do you control it?

You control the hover—it's basically finding the sweet spot on the throttle where it stays suspended in the air without climbing or falling. Takes practice to maintain but that's how beginners learn control before adding lateral movement (which this simple 2-channel version doesn't have anyway).

Unboxed it, threw the batteries in, got it in the air... and lost it in 30 seconds. Still kinda worth it.

My 7yo crashes this thing nonstop but it just keeps going. Battery life could be longer but it charges quick. Fun indoor toy.

Some small parts fall off easy when it crashes. My son doesn’t care though, he still flies it around half broken.

Takes a bit of patience to get the hang of it but my 9yo loves it now. Don’t expect drone-level control but perfect for learning.

Perfect little gift. My 8yo laughs every time it bumps into the wall. Crashes are half the fun 😂

If you’re thinking about it, just buy it. It’s light, flies nice, and it actually survived my cat attacking it mid-air 😂
