Does the megaphone actually work or is it just decoration?

It legit works. Kids can talk into it and their voice projects louder through the speaker system. Not stadium-level loud, but definitely audible across the yard. They love making "announcements" and "pulling people over" with it. It's one of the most unique features compared to other ride-ons.

How does the parental remote control work exactly?

The 2.4GHz remote gives you full override control—forward, reverse, steering, and three speed settings. When the remote is active, it overrides whatever your kid is doing with the pedal and wheel. Will this handle grass and rough surfaces or just smooth driveways?

The spring suspension and non-slip tires handle asphalt, brick, packed dirt, and short grass pretty well. Won't conquer thick grass or steep hills, but typical backyard terrain is fine. The suspension actually absorbs bumps instead of transmitting them straight to the rider like cheaper rigid-wheel models.

How long does it take to charge and how long does the battery last?

Charging takes about 8-12 hours, so overnight is best. Battery lasts 60-120 minutes depending on terrain, speed setting, and how much they're using the siren/lights/music. Rough ground and high speed drain it faster. The battery level display warns you when it's getting low.

My kid is 7 and kind of tall—will they still fit comfortably?

As long as they're under 66 lbs (30 kg), they'll fit. The seat is adjustable and most kids up to age 8 fit fine unless they're exceptionally tall or heavy. Weight capacity is the main limiting factor, not height.

Is the siren annoying or can you turn it off?

You can control the volume and turn features on/off. The siren isn't ear-piercing but it's loud enough to feel authentic. Most parents are fine with it since kids love the realistic police experience. If it bothers you, just turn the volume down or disable it.
