Does the dump bed actually lift and work or is it just for show?

It's fully functional. There's an electric switch that lifts the bed up and tilts it back so they can dump out toys, rocks, sticks, whatever they've loaded in. The bed is also detachable if you want to use it as a regular UTV without the trailer. Comes with a toy shovel and stand too.

Can two kids actually fit comfortably or is it cramped?

The seat is 20 inches wide which is roomier than most ride-ons. Two smaller kids (ages 3-5) fit great side-by-side. One bigger kid (6-8 years old) has plenty of solo space. Each seat gets its own 3-point safety belt. Total weight limit is 110 lbs so as long as they're under that combined, they're good.

How does the 4WD vs 2WD thing work?

There's a switch that lets you toggle between modes. 4WD (all four wheels powered) is for rougher terrain like grass, gravel, dirt, or slight inclines. 2WD (two wheels powered) works fine for flat surfaces like driveways or sidewalks and saves battery life. Most people keep it in 4WD mode for maximum fun.

How long does the battery actually last and is charging a pain?

You'll get 90-120 minutes of continuous driving depending on terrain, weight, and speed settings. Rough ground and max speed drain it faster. Charging takes about 8-12 hours, so overnight is best. The truck has a voice alert that tells you when battery is low so you're not caught off guard.

Is the parental remote necessary or can I skip using it?

Depends on your kid's age and skill level. Younger kids (3-4) benefit from you having override control while they learn. Older kids (5-8) can usually drive it themselves fine. The remote has 3-speed settings and full steering control, so it's great for teaching them gradually or keeping them away from hazards.

Will this handle actual hills or just flat ground?

It can handle slight inclines and gentle slopes thanks to the 4 x 200W motors and 4WD mode. Won't climb a mountain, but driveways, mild backyard slopes, and small bumps are no problem. The spring shock absorbers help keep it stable on uneven terrain too.

Really solid truck. Only complaint is it's pretty heavy so moving it around when not in use takes some effort. But that weight also means it feels quality and doesn't tip easily.
